New Venue Brooklyn Steel Announces Initial Artist Lineup: Tycho, Animal Collective, Pixies, And More

first_imgThe Bowery Presents recently announced the opening of new venue Brooklyn Steel, an 1800-person capacity, general admission venue in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. So far the venue has announced acts such as Tycho, The Decemberists, Pixies, PJ Harvey, Two Door Cinema Club, Animal Collective, Perfume Genius, Whitney, The Black Angels and San Fermin, among others.Keeping with the industrial theme, the venue features hundreds of tons of steel in the construction including repurposed materials throughout, and will have 10,000 square-foot green roof that will help confine the sound of their state-of-the-art L-Acoustics system (which also outfitted Terminal 5) within the building.Brooklyn Steel will open in the Spring of 2017.
