North Peace Gymnastics Association finds a temporary home

first_imgThe North Peace Gymnastics Association will be settling into a new temporary home base soon – the Stonebridge Hotel.The association shared the exciting news in a post on Facebook yesterday.WE HAVE NEWS…..NPGA has secured a ‘temporary home’ until June 2016. Thanks to the generosity of the Pomeroy Lodging Group we will be opening our doors in the near future at the Stonebridge Hotel. The Pomeroy Group heard of our loss and came forward with the desire to help. Thinking outside the parameters, they offered their ballrooms, at the Stonebridge Hotel, as a temporary solution.NPGA will announce an opening date, once we know the logistics of getting our new equipment here, from Ontario. Our plans and programs are being revised to suit our new space.Thanks to the community for making our Comedy Gala a huge success!! Our Gala was sold out to a very generous and enthusiastic crowd. The evening was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a common goal to rebuild NPGA. The magnitude of support was overwhelming… we raised over $50,000!! NPGA’s Richelle Gaubin said they have agreed with the Pomeroy Lodging Group for two ballrooms to rent – which is about 4000 square feet of space for classes.Advertisement – Advertisement -“I think it just shows you that they are very committed to our community, and understand how many kids come through our facility,” she said.She said that about 2,000 were enrolled per year.How soon classes will be up and running hasn’t been confirmed, but she estimates it will take about six to eight weeks – due to their equipment coming from Ontario.last_img read more
