Ramsey: QPR will NOT give up Premier League survival fight

first_img Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey 1 Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey insists his side will not give up their fight for Premier League survival despite suffering another blow against Crystal Palace on Saturday.Three first-half goals at Selhurst Park gave Rangers a mountain to climb as the Eagles all-but secured their top flight status with a 3-1 victory.Matt Phillips pulled one back with a sensational 40-yard strike seven minutes from time but it will be of little consolation to Ramsey and his team, who remain four points adrift of safety“There wasn’t one player I could look at and say ‘they threw the towel in’,” said Super Hoops boss Ramsey.“It’s never a lack of commitment, the commitment from the players has been fantastic, it’s more a little lapse of concentration or quality that has cost us.“I wouldn’t say I am confident [of surviving] because I don’t think anyone below that line is confident, but we still have the willingness and we still have the players that can complete the task.“I am hoping nine games is enough, that’s all that I’ve got, so we’ll go for it as best we can.“The players believe in it. The players downstairs are disappointed, they’re not bickering and moaning at each other.“Yeah, some people are disappointed and some people are obviously voicing their opinions about how disappointed they are, but they’re still unified, as you’ll find.“They’re still unified in what we’re trying to do and all we can do really is to keep fighting.”last_img read more
