Airline to start direct flights between FN and Vancouver Island

first_imgA Kelowna based airline will soon start direct charter flights from Vancouver Island to Fort Nelson.According to the Victoria Times Colonist, Flair Air will fly Tuesdays between Comox and Fort Nelson. The company believes they will move up to 100 passengers in and out of Comox each week.Chris Lapointe, director of business development for Flair, told the Times Colonist, that companies are keen to attract qualified workers from the island who previously had to take commercial flights through Calgary and Vancouver to reach Fort Nelson.- Advertisement -The Comox Airport expects to see an extra 8,000 people a year come through the airport.The bookings will be organized through a private partnership with the airline and companies in Fort Nelson.For more information, click here to read the Times Colonist story. Advertisementlast_img read more
