What programs have the worst?According to one college football analyst, the worst quarterback situation, unfortunately, resides at Rutgers.247Sports’ Sam Hellman has named Rutgers’ quarterback situation the worst in the league. From his ranking:14. RutgersSophomore Artur Sitkowski has a lot of talent with some good days ahead of him, but it is hard to overlook the numbers of what was his freshman season. A four-touchdown, 18-interception season under offensive coordinator John McNulty and head coach Chris Ash is the definition of growing pains. Add in former prized recruit Johnathan Lewis bouncing between quarterback and tight end and the departure of fifth-year senior captain Giovanni Rescigno and Rutgers has some developing to do this spring. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. Rutgers has struggled to get consistency from the quarterback position for a while and, while Sitowski is talented, he’s fairly unproven. You can view the full quarterback rankings for the 2019 season here.last_img read more
