Ranil holds talks with Mukherjee

Opposition UNP leader Ranil Wickramasinghe has had talks with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on the political situation in Sri Lanka, the UNP media unit said today.The over one hour meeting in New Delhi last evening saw both sides also discuss the status of Indo-Lanka ties. Wickramasinghe was on a three day visit to India where he also had talks with members of the opposition BJP and the ruling Congress party.He is scheduled to meet Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid today.
